Workshop: Sjung på jiddisch med Louisa Lyne

Sing in Yiddish with Louisa Lyne

If you’ve ever listened to klezmer music, you have probably heard songs in Yiddish. Yiddish is the language of the Jewish people, with roots in Central Europe from over 1000 years ago. However, Yiddish is more than a language; it also has its own music culture with wordless melodies, ornaments and unique, stylistic features. This interactive workshop gives you the opportunity to explore and experience the culture for yourself.

Louisa Lyne presents a workshop full of energy and warmth. No prior knowledge is necessary, just an open mind, curiosity and interest in trying something new! This workshop is open to anyone (not just singers) who is interested in the style.

The workshop is arranged in collaboration with the adult education organization, Bilda. Registration opens at 9 a.m. on Monday, February 14th via Bilda's website.
