Lena Jonsson is seen as one of the most influential violinists in the new generation of folk musicians in Scandinavia today. She is a folk music virtuoso who moves fearlessly, curiously and uncomplicatedly between different styles of music. She grew up in Bollnäs and has folk music in her blood but now tours all over the world with her various bands and projects. In Lena Jonsson Trio, Lena's powerful violin playing and Kristofer's driving bass are woven together by Erik's varied and responsive guitar sounds. With musical openness, joy of playing and curiosity, the trio draws inspiration from a wide range of genres. Expect it to be a brilliant folk music concert characterized by heartfelt joy of playing, empathy and charisma! In 2021, Lena Jonsson Trio won both a Grammy and the Manifesto Prize for her latest album Stories from the Outside.
